Los Gatos Mountain residents, did you know our Skyland Church has a food pantry, a Holiday Giving Tree, and other ways to help everyone have a happy Christmas?  

This came over in our #95033 email, from Robin P. who wanted to give a shout out to all the different people and org's across the mountain who help make our community great!  Here is one heartwarming example of how we take care of our neighbors in the 95033!!

"...Then there is the dynamic between all these groups! The Freecycle team hosts a Flea Market event so you can drop off or pick up cool stuff for free from mountain neighbors. Nobody wanted what you brought? The Home and School Club has coordinated a Goodwill truck in the parking lot for when the Flea Market is over. Don’t even need to take your stuff back home and it raises money for our kids!  Building Blocks Preschool kids outgrow their stuff, so Buiding Blocks volunteers organize it all by size so clothes can “trade up” for the next kid - but then Building Blocks opens this event to the community so all the kids can score new stuff. And, then, they coordinate that with the Food Banks at Skyland Church so families there can benefit. One of the best stories I’ve heard up here was a report from the Skyland Food Bank that a family in need sent their kids outside to play while they went Christmas Shopping through the donated clothes from all our mountain kids."
